Announcements |
Key announcements about the course will be posted on out Piazza page (see below). Please make sure to check this frequently. You may want to update your notification settings to receive these via your email. Details of the course assessments (including grading notes) will be available here on Canvas. |
Piazza Forum |
Please ask all questions about the course content on the Piazza group: https://piazza.com/ubc.ca/winterterm22024/cpsc410/home Links to an external site. As a general rule, any question which could be asked by any of your colleagues should be posted via Piazza (rather than emailed). This will ensure that the information is shared amongst all course participants, and you questions get answered efficiently. In case you prefer it, it's possible to ask questions anonymously. You can also make private posts, in case you need to discuss e.g. questions about individual graded exercises. |
Emails |
The Piazza discussion forum is the main means of class participation, and you should almost always direct your questions there if they relate to the course content. If you have questions or concerns of a personal nature during the course, you are welcome to contact your TA (you will have one assigned to you), and/or Caroline/Alex directly by email. |
Time Zone in Canvas
The course is set to the Pacific Time (PT) time zone, where the University of British Columbia Vancouver Campus is located. All due dates will be given in PT. Note that Canvas will not automatically change time zones for you if you are viewing it from a different time zone. If you want Canvas to display dates in your local time zone, you can go into your settings and adjust to your personal local time zone.
