Assignment 1: Practice mapping the power and influence in a K2A setting

In groups of 3, describe why mapping the influence is valuable for K2A initiatives (Maximum 1 page). Then, select a K2A change initiative, or use one of the examples provided. Map the power and players using Ganz et al.’s tool to map the power landscape. Answer the ten questions, and submit those answers following your 1 page description of why it is important to map the influence/power dynamics. (15%) PK to Mark.
Most of the questions can be answered in a paragraph or less. But feel free to go into lots of detail when answering the question: what is wanted by those with the power to make the change called for by the evidence. Explore this question in depth.

Rubric
A level grade will convey a deep appreciation for the importance of mapping the influence and power dynamics when planning a K2A project; and consistently provide answers to all 10 questions that balance demonstrating a depth of understanding with succinctness and precision in the responses.
B level assignments will show a precise understanding of most of these themes, but err in at least one instance.
C level assignments will err in multiple instances.
