GRADUATE ADVISORS
Each Graduate student is assigned a "Graduate Advisor" or GA when they start their program. The SBME Graduate Advisors are Dr. Jay Kizhakkedathu, Dr. Roger Tam, and Dr. Karen Cheung.
Graduate students can contact their GA if they have any questions or concerns regarding the following:
- their research;
- the progress and/or delays of their degrees;
- substantial academic concerns (e.g. health issues affecting progress, supervisor-student conflicts);
- matters that they do not wish to discuss with the Student Services team.
If you do not know who your assigned GA is, please contact SBME Student Services (students@sbme.ubc.ca).
