1.1 Connecting to your course

If you’re adapting multiple courses for the online environment, we suggest focusing on one course for all activities in the Online Teaching Program.

Before you start working on the online version of your course, take a few minutes to reflect on how you’ve taught this course in the past.

  • How did you determine the course learning objectives? Do most students achieve them?
  • How do you assess student learning?
  • What learning activities do you include in your course?
  • What learning resources do you use in your course (readings, lecture topics, etc.)? Do you feel it supports student learning?
  • What is unique about your course? What are you most proud of about your course?

Your answers to these questions will serve as a guide as you engage further with the Online Teaching Program and prepare your online course.
