- Actively engage and regularly communicate with your students to create your online teaching presence.
- Secure access to a high-speed bandwidth connection for synchronous class activities. Test all course-related technology prior to the start of the course and practice if possible.
- Regularly monitor course-related discussions and activities.
- Listen to your colleagues who have already experienced online teaching and be ready to learn from their successes and challenges. During your teaching, don’t hesitate to seek help from your peer instructors and support units (e.g., Instructional Support Units or UBC LT Hub).
