Links to an external site.” but are not necessarily proficient in using online tools for formal learning. Most students haven’t chosen to take courses online and some may prefer in-person courses. Because learning online requires somewhat different skills than learning in-person, students may need help to work effectively online.

- Provide time estimates for each learning task for the week/module so students can have an at-a-glance idea of how to manage their time; consider making this information part of the course schedule.
