Respondus Lockdown Browser: Using RLDB Browser for an Online Exam (for instructors)

Using RLDB Browser for an Online Exam (for instructors)

Students may be required to use Respondus Lockdown Browser (RLDB) for an online Exam. Instructors need to enable RLDB in their course menu, and then set the exam to require it, and then students need to download and install RLDB and run it to take the online exam while invigilated. Note: RLDB does not invigilate students, it just prevents them from accessing the rest of their computer while doing the quiz.

Enable Respondus Lockdown Browser

  1. In your Canvas course menu, click Settings.
  2. At the top of the Settings page, click the Navigation tab.
  3. On the Navigation page, scroll down to Lockdown Browser, and then drag it up to the top list.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
    Enable RLDB
