Zoom Cloud Recordings can be accessed through Canvas. To enable students to access zoom cloud recordings through Canvas, the recording must be published and its viewing access must be set to 'Publicly.'
As a default, the viewing access for all Cloud Recordings is set to 'Publicly.' Cloud Recordings with a public viewing access will be viewable by anybody with the link to the recording.
For extra security, zoom cloud recordings can be passcode protected. By enabling 'Require passcode to access shared cloud recordings' in the settings of your UBC licensed Zoom account, a randomly generated passcode will be set for all newly generated cloud recordings. In addition, cloud recording passcodes can be enabled, disabled, and modified for individual recordings.
In the Zoom page that appears, click Cloud Recordings.
On the page that appears, to publish a recording so that students can access it through your course, slide the Publish slider to the right, changing it from grey to blue. When published, students will be able to access the recording.
