Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO)

Many incidents of sexualized violence happen on university campuses. 1 in 4 transgender, genderqueer and non-binary folks, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 16 men experience sexual assault during their time during undergrad at college and/or university. And that is just sexual assault. Sexual assault is just one type of sexualized violence.

In your role as a postdoctoral fellow, you have an opportunity to change that by creating a culture of consent on our campus. It is everyone’s responsibility. This is always ongoing learning.

SVPRO is a safe place and single point of contact for UBC PDFs, students, faculty and staff who have experienced sexual assault, regardless of when or where it took place.
