Getting around

Located just off of Highway 97, UBC Okanagan is conveniently located just a few minutes' drive from the Kelowna International Airport.

Public Transit
The University is located on several major bus routes, which are serviced by BC Transit Links to an external site.. Buses operate from early morning hours until after midnight.

BC Transit offers handyDART, an accessible door-to-door shared transit service for people with permanent or temporary disabilities that prevent them from using fixed-route transit without assistance from another person. ProPASS
As a UBCO employee, you are eligible to enroll in the ProPASS Program Pilot to receive a reduced cost on adult monthly bus passes. Apply online Links to an external site. or through Parking Services for a minimum of one four-month Pass Period.

Driving
If you plan on driving to campus, you will typically need to purchase a parking permit or pay for visitor parking. Paid parking is usually in effect on campus year-round, including holidays and weekends. Permits are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis from the Parking Services office and will be available until they sell out.

There are designated stalls reserved for accessible parking, and for carpools with two or more people sharing one vehicle.

Cycling
UBCO is easily accessible by bicycle.  The Okanagan Rail Trail connects our campus to the Kelowna waterfront by an off-road paved multi-use path that is maintained year-round.  In addition, many of our roadways have bike lanes connecting to the Rail Trail and other routes to campus.  The Download Kelowna Cycling Route Map Links to an external site.

is a good resource to see the variety of ways to reach our campus by bike.  Once on campus, you will find bike racks, bike lockers (rentable through Parking Services), shower and change rooms in the gym and many other campus buildings.
