Accounts and Logins
There are two important logins you will need to remember: your Campus Wide Login, (or CWL), and your Novell account.
- The Campus Wide Login (CWL) system provides access to a number of services, including the UBCO wireless network, the SSC, Canvas, and more. You received your CWL when you applied to UBC.
- Your Novell account, which provides access to computers on campus and provides access to pay for print services, shared instructional files, and 100 MB of secure personal storage. Your Novell account is automatically created for you when you register for classes.

The UBCcard
Your UBCcard is your official UBC Okanagan staff identification. Use this all-in-one card to:
- borrow items from the library
- copying and printing on equipment still using 'UBCswipe-card' technology.
Your Salto key provides campus access to buildings, office space, labs, classrooms, and the graduate student collegium, as required. You will need to request Salto access through the Security office. Security will contact you once your key is ready to be picked up.
