There are thousands of general dental practices and specialists across BC. You can find a dentist in your are through the BC Dental Association.

Finding a Doctor

Doctors and surgeons in British Columbia are registered through the College of Physicians of BC. Finding a doctor may take some time as many offices have waiting lists.

The Central Okanagan “Find a Family Doctor Program” can help you get on a waiting list or find a doctor accepting new patients.

If you do not have a family doctor, you can attend a walk-in clinic or urgent primary care centre to see a physician. MediMap and Skip the Waiting Room can help you identify a walk-in clinic near you.

HealthLink BC is another helpful resource for health advice and information. The website contains a wealth of health information and their phone life can be used for general health information or symptom advice. The phone line can be reached by calling 8-1-1. The line is toll-free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hospitals

Doctors are available for emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Kelowna General Hospital, Vernon Jubilee Hospital and Penticton Regional Hospital.

Learn about your neighbourhood catchment school (public schools) and district programs
Identify your top school choices and check if there is space available for new students.

Decide between your choices

Select your neighbourhood school or if you decide to apply to schools out of your neighbourhood, check and complete the application process.

Enroll - Enroll your child/children according to the enrollment process for the specific school.
