Teak is the most interested tree species for economic tree plantation in tropics due to market demand and price. Teak is planted as plantation in more than 60 countries in tropics and sub-tropics. The progress in management of teak plantation in improved technologies of vegetative propagation, site preferences, soil favorable condition, site preparation, planting spacing, management for growth and yield, and regeneration management. Anyhow, it is necessary to fully adopt modern management techniques to increase the productivity of existing and new plantations to ensure the supply of high quality timber to satisfy the increasing demand of the world market.
