After getting overview of socio-economic condition and biodiversity in Asia, this second module provides in-depth analysis on major conventional challenges and emerging threats to conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem in Asia due to regional and global socio-economic development. You will learn about these conservation issues and emerging threats by analyzing trends, its main drivers and impacts on biodiversity and society. You will also learn about relevant policies and practices to address those conservation issues and threats by analyzing various case studies. This module introduces you the key concepts, theoretical framework and their application to analyze biodiversity conservation challenges.
