Your Instructor

Meagan "Meg" Hanna, MA, BCMA QU-0109BM

Hello Master of Urban Forestry Leaders!

My name is Meg and I will be your instructor for this course. I'll be joining you from the Greater Montreal Area this fall.

My professional interests are designing training and learning for professionals, public outreach, fostering healthy and safe workplaces as well as improving standards of practice. Links to an external site. I am also passionate about volunteering and professional development. I work in French and English.

On my off-time, I enjoy traveling (on hold for now), giving guided tours Links to an external site., gardening, botanical art Links to an external site., YouTube yoga and hanging out with my spouse Mike and our two cats, Cleo and Spike.

My preferred methods of contact are live discussions during courses, one on one conversations by appointment and email (I'm an early riser). I also enjoy the occasional networking session or happy hour, which allows for connection in a more relaxed and fun context.

I am your classic Type A Extrovert. When I'm talking, I'm often thinking out loud. As I grow in my profession, I'm discovering the value of quiet reflection. I've learned a lot from introverts and hybrids; I appreciate diverse approaches and personalities on a team.

My core values are respect for others, maintaining a disciplined work ethic, kindness, creativity and resourcefulness.

Values I care about improving are balance and keeping calm. The struggle is real.

You can check out my bio on MUFL's website for more information on my professional background and goals.

To stay connected, feel free to add me on LinkedIn Links to an external site..

If you have any questions, speak out. My goal is to share information, approaches and tools with you to help you succeed in your career.
