Topic Introduction
International Forestry addresses the international efforts to foster the sustainable management of forests globally through protecting the environment and contributing to economic and social wellbeing.
By the end of this topic, you should be able to:
- Recall the definition of International forestry and understand why forests are of global concerns,
- Demonstrate your knowledge of international global environmental and socio-economic issues,
- Describe the evolution and the concept of Sustainable Forest Management globally, and
- Sketch the role of SFM in addressing global environmental and developmental issues.
