There are several intergovernmental conventions, agreements and instruments that address forests however at different levels. This Module briefly addressed three of the most relevant inter-governmental conventions namely the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Convention to Combat Desertification (CCD).
In addition, Module III introduces The Paris Accord of UNFCCC, The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and The UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2017-2030 (UNSPF 2030).
