This Topic provides the students with background information about the environmental diplomacy in general, but with special emphasis on international forestry. It raises their awareness about the basic stages of developing and concluding international agreements with potential implications for forest-related actions.
Topic 4.2 also presents step-wise approach to the negotiation processes and informs the students about protocols of international negotiation processes with emphasis on forestry.
