Listed here are steps you should follow when wanting to play Spikeball with your friends. Please use it to minimize any risks and to have the best playing experience!

1. Check for weather conditions: To check for weather conditions, use Accuweather (link also provided in the "Useful Links" section of this ePortfolio: https://www.accuweather.com/en/ca/canada-weather this website will provide you will information on the temperature and incoming weather patterns to plan in advance for your Spikeball tournament.

2. Check your field status: This is really important! You do not know whether your field is in proper condition to be used. It may be dangerous or it may be previously booked by another organization so you do not want to waste your time traveling to a field that you cannot use. A website for North Vancouver fields is included in the "Useful Links" section. If you are not from North Vancouver, most communities will have their own respective recreation website that outlines community field statuses.

3. Wear proper clothing: Be sure to wear proper clothing according to the weather forecast.

4. Bring water: Especially, if it is hot outside, you will want to bring plenty of water to rehydrate during breaks in between games.

5. Bring friends: Spikeball cannot be played by one person! Please bring 4 friends (can be played with 2 if that is all you have). The official rules and more information about Spikeball can be found here:  https://spikeball.com/pages/official-rules

Remember this is a weather-based go/no-go checklist -- focus on the weather, and how different weather conditions make it a go/no-go situation! A good starting point is your own weather hazard page
