Bold, beautiful to look at and bursting with star power, House of Gucci ganzer film brings the extraordinary story of the family feud behind the Italian fashion brand to the big screen. Starring Lady Gaga as an ambitious outsider who marries the founder of a luxury fashion brand, this film tells a tale of decadence, betrayal and revenge.

Gaga, whose parents are of Italian descent, plays the character of Patrizia Reggiani, who marries the heir to the fashion dynasty Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver). Reggiani finally went on a mission of revenge on her husband, after he divorced Reggiani for another woman. Reggiani served 18 years in prison in Italy for his crimes in 1995.

Jeremy Irons, who plays the patriarch Rodolfo Gucci, said the story was very interesting. "It's an extraordinary plot. It's bold, and brash and blingy, Italy," said Irons, Friday (19/11). Irons called the House of Gucci an extraordinary story.

Directed by Ridley Scott and also starring Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and Salma Hayek, this film traces the ups and downs of the Gucci brand from its great days in the 1960s to its near collapse in the 1990s.

Gaga, in her second appearance as a lead actress, has promoted the film with a stunning red carpet appearance in a Gucci gown, and is widely favored for another Oscar nomination next year.

It also approved the filming of scenes in its flagship store in Rome. Gucci family members were not involved in the making of the film.

Jared Leto, playing the flamboyant designer Paolo Gucci, said he put a lot of effort into his role. "I told him (director Ridley Scott) 'I'm going crazy here'. He freed us to do what we thought was best," said Leto. n Umi Nur Fadhilah.
