Hi, everyone!!
My name is Michael, Li. This is my second year at UBC, and I am currently majoring in psychology. Basketball is one of my favourite sports. I started it when I was in middle school, and I am still trying to make progress on it. I like the unique movement for this sport when players are shooting balls or trying to pass defenders, typically because those movements look so fancy and interesting for me.

Although I didn't join any school teams or participate in formal games, it has helped me make a lot of new friends and build up my endurance after each game. Also, it can take the pressure off whenever you feel frustrated, like how other sports could do.
However, due to the arrival of the epidemic, many indoor basketball courts are no longer open, resulting in people who like basketball can only choose to play outdoors. Choosing outdoor courts can certainly make you enjoy the sunshine and experience a different feeling, but compared with indoor sports, there are more factors needed to be considered, and the weather is definitely not the one to be ignored. As for the learning goal of this ePortfolio, I will introduce how three weather conditions - raining, lightning and high temperature, have impactful effects on outdoor basketball. There will also be instructions about how you can check the weather information from relatively provided sources in later section.
