Philosophy is all about answering questions that cannot be answered using science/ math/ physics or any other fundamental subject. There are different kinds of philosophy. Some fields of philosophy explore subjects that are considered imagination, and other fields explore more serious questions such as the existence of God, the existence of free will, etc. Philosophy is extremely popular amongst Nobel scientists, and the reason is quite simple. Philosophy can be considered the first step in answering any kind of question. Philosophy is the logic behind a question. Questions that can be answered are then answered using other tools such as physics or math, and questions that cannot be answered remain as "Philosophical Questions".
