Each person in a team contributes to team functioning, but sometimes the degree to which we influence team functioning is not always apparent to us. A simple way to improve team functioning is to become less task oriented and focus on being more process oriented. Regular team meetings help to get to know each other and improve communication and relationships. Be mindful of what you carry with you into a team meeting, because self-awareness is key to functioning within a team.
