3.5.c Florence's Case: Labour Begins

Two weeks before Florence is due, she misses an appointment with Dr. Riann Botha. Riann had to attend a patient in the emergency and her clinic became backed up with a long wait time. Florence left the waiting room after waiting for an hour and a half.

At Florence's last prenatal appointment with Tasmin a few days later, she expresses that she is feeling anxious that Tasmin is leaving and that she has not yet met Riann.

Two days later, Florence goes into labour after Tasmin has left and Riann has taken over responsibility.
