To further deepen your understanding of bias and single stories, we invite you to either read an article or listen to a podcast.

(1) The following article, written by Sarah-Jane Leslie, Andrei Cimpian, Meredith Meyer, and Edward Freeland, discusses how gender and race are mapped onto disciplines in terms of "brilliance", over representing those which are whiter and male dominated.

Implicit biases are malleable, and you can form strategies to help you cultivate new ways of approaching them. Take a moment to reflect on how single stories operate and how stories matter by considering these questions:
