Awards and Funding
CoGS offers a variety of funding options and fellowships to graduate students and is responsible for merit-based graduate awards at UBC Okanagan. We manage a number of award competitions each year and administer payments of all internal awards and selected external awards.

Deadlines and Forms
The CoGS' website contains a deadlines database and a forms database to help you stay on track throughout your studies. 

The deadlines database contains important deadlines for graduate students. This includes deadlines for application, scholarships, course withdrawals, and degree conferral.

The forms database contains forms relevant to graduate students throughout their studies. Forms include scholarship application forms, progress report forms, forms related to your defence or dissertation, etc. Some forms can be submitted electronically, others need to be printed and signed. CoGS is working to make all forms available electronically.

CoGS offers a number of events, workshops, seminars and other activities to complement your academic graduate program and equip you with skills applicable during and after graduate studies.

Graduate Student Spaces
UBC’s Okanagan campus offers three spaces for exclusive use by graduate students. Gain access to these spaces by completing and submitting the Graduate Space Access Request Form

The Graduate and Postdoctoral Collegium

The Graduate and Postdoctoral Collegium offers a social place for graduate students to hang out, eat lunch, and spend time with peers. Graduate students can also book this space for events. The Graduate and Postdoctoral Collegium is set up in a relaxing lounge-style atmosphere, outfitted with comfortable furniture, a television, individual and group workspaces, and kitchen facilities.

  • Located in the Arts and Science Centre (ASC 460)
  •  7 am to 11 pm daily

The Graduate Student Commons
The Graduate Student Commons has dedicated graduate study spaces that help to strengthen a sense of community for graduate students at UBC Okanagan. Filled with natural light and student-centric design, the Graduate Student Commons is an ideal space for individual or group study.

The Graduate Workshop Room
A space used to hold professional, academic, and health and wellness workshops for graduate students. When not booked for workshops, this space is available for graduate students to practice thesis or dissertation examinations.

Graduate Policy Manual
The College of Graduate Studies’ Policy Manual outlines all policies and procedures as they apply to grad students. The policy manual contains important information on student responsibilities, tuition and fees, working with your supervisor, defending your thesis/dissertation and more.

As an incoming graduate student, it is recommended that you review the policy manual before beginning your studies.
