Managing iClicker Cloud Sessions
After running a session in iClicker Cloud, you can make various changes like grading/regrading and renaming your session. To view your past iClicker sessions,
- Go to instructor.reef-education.com Links to an external site. and log in to your iClicker Cloud account.
- Click on the name of the iClicker Cloud course you'd like to view.
- If not automatically opened, click Session History in the left-hand menu.
The page that opens shows a table listing all past iClicker sessions for the course in reverse chronological order. All polling questions asked during a class are grouped together in a session, which is automatically titled 'Session # - MM/DD/YY'. Each quiz is listed independently from polling sessions and other quizzes, even if they are run during the same class.
Click on an option below to view instructions for it:
Delete an entire polling session or quiz
- On the Session History page, click Delete in the top right corner.
- In the pop-up window, select the session/quiz you want to delete by checking the box next to its name.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Change polling session or quiz settings (rename, visibility options, automatic scoring)
- On the Session History page, click on the name of the polling session or quiz you would like to edit.
- Click on the ellipsis in the top right corner to view the quiz/polling session settings.
- Click Poll Settings or Quiz Settings.
- Rename the session.
- Choose whether or not students will be able to see your questions and the class results in their class history.
- Change the automatic scoring policy for this individual polling session.
- Rename the quiz.
- Change the value of the points per question.
- Choose whether or not students will be able to see the results and feedback.
- Click Save when finished.
Delete a question from a quiz or polling session
- Click on the ellipsis to the right of the question name.
- Click Delete Question.
- In the pop-up window, click Delete to confirm.
Grading/Regrading iClicker Cloud Questions
While all questions can be graded during an iClicker Cloud session, it may be preferable to go back after a session to grade or regrade questions. In addition, post-session grading offers more options, such as more customization of points awarded for each answer. For multiple-choice question types:
- Go to the Session History page as described at the top of this page, then click on the name of the session or quiz that you would like to grade/regrade.
- Click on the title of the question that you would like to grade to open up the grading side panel on the right side of the page.
- Click on the answer(s) that you would like to mark as correct, which will place a green checkmark next to them.
- If you would like to override your automatic scoring policy, then enter the number of points you would like each answer to be worth in the Points fields.
- Use the arrows in the top right corner to navigate to other questions, or click the X to save and close the grading panel.
For the different types of polling questions, there are also some additional options:
- For short answer and numeric type questions, you can input additional correct answers that no student submitted by typing them into the Other field. If you have multiple correct answers, then you can click the star next to one of them to mark it as the 'best answer' for student reference.
- To mark where on the image is correct for target-type questions, click on the image, drag a box around the correct region, then click save in the top right corner. If you make a mistake, then click the trash can icon in the top right corner to reselect the correct area.
