Hi, my name is Julia and welcome to my eportfolio!

For me, one of the most rewarding and breathtaking outdoor activities is hiking! Here in British Columbia and many places alike, they are filled with the best hiking trails and scenery one can only achieve through hiking. From steep mountain ridges to the serene riverside trails, there is always something for everyone.

In this eportfolio you will be informed about the risks and hazards of hiking in certain weather conditions as well as some information on how to be as prepared as possible for your next trip. I have also included some useful links and a detailed checklist that will guarantee your most enjyoable hike yet!

Below is an image from one of my favourite hikes in BC, the Black Tusk trail in Garibaldi Provincial Park. It is a full day hike and takes approximately 8-10 hours round trip to complete. While it is quite lengthy and catered for the intermediate hiker, the views and terrain are unlike any other.
