1. Lightning actually helps flowers grow! 

The heat from lightening bonds with nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere, causing nitrates to form. So, when diluted in the rain, they land onto soil as a natural fertilizer (food for plants)1

2. The U.S. Megadrought is the worst it has been in 1,200 years!

Studies in soil moisture show that Southwest America is the driest it has ever been since 800 A.D. This is due to the climate change caused by human over-pollution. This relates to the rest of the world as global warming has made the atmosphere "thirstier", enabling it to pull moisture from forests and plants2

3. The Freezing Temperature for Most Flowers is around -5 degrees Celsius! 

Below this temperature, widespread damage is caused to the flowers. This can KILL flowers, especially if they are newly planted. If there were hot temperatures weeks right before, the flowers would not have had time to go into hibernation. Gardeners refer to this as a hard/killing freeze. 3
