Go/no-go checklist of weather considerations

First, decide whether you are flying VFR or IFR.
1. *Check ceiling and visibility (*VFR specific).
How is the cloud coverage?  did you check https://www.aviationweather.gov/hemst. ??
cloud with coverage ≥ 5 okta? Yes? fly VFR below the ceiling!

Is visibility clear can you navigate well?
Yes? GO!  fly VFR!   No? fly IFR! or don't go!

2. *Aircraft instrument working? And fuel is enough?
Yes? Go!

3. *Check route and weather conditions + near airports (plan alternative route in case of emergency)
Have you planned your alternative route in case of emergency? (look near airport!)
did you check https://www.planeflighttracker.com/2014/12/flightradar24-airports.html
Yes? Go!

4. Cloud (the type of cloud on the sky likely to contain super cooled cloud droplets which can freeze to the aircraft?)
-presence of fractus clouds? ( expect turbulence )
- presence of convective clouds? (potential thunderstorm)

5. Weight (appropriate for generating lift force and not causing stall?)
Do you have the right weight to generate lift and not induce stall? Yes? GO!

6. Does your plane have de-icing equipment? Yes? Go
No? try to fly out of cloud! descend or ascend fast if you get into a cloud!

7. Is thunderstorm relevant in your trip?
If so, can you go around the thunderstorm (20km away) or can you cancel your trip?
If yes! GO!

Have a safe flight
