Before you start your ski trip, you need to check the current temperature of the snowy mountain you are going to visit. The resorts usually have a current conditions page on their website that you can look at before you leave. There are also websites that aggregate and publish weather observations from multiple sources.

Here are links to four of Vancouver's more popular ski resorts. These sites provide a general information of these mountains' history, current conditions, current snow and weather report, mountain cams, and snowpack information.

If you want to experience snowboarding outside of Vancouver., here are some of the more popular resorts outside of Vancouver and even B.C. in Canada. These sites also provide a general information of these mountains' history, current conditions, current snow and weather report, mountain cams, and snowpack information.

Before you go skiing, you also need to check the hazard conditions of the ski resort you are going to. Through Avalanche Canada, you can find out about predicting avalanches, the level of danger of avalanches at different altitudes, ways to avoid encountering danger and ways to deal with avalanches in times of crisis.
