Welcome fellow travellers!

There is only one thing about the travelling process I love more than the smell of the airport: sitting in the window seat of a plane. Nothing beats the feeling and view of dragging the window curtain down and having the sun reflect off the endless stream of cirrus clouds that lasts forever. But, I always wondered how these puffy and somewhat cute clouds could rattle a massive metal box to sway and cause turbulence? I didn't realize just how vast and unforgiving the sky above us can be and how much planes and their functionality, as well as the pilots, have to be trained to be able to adapt to everything.

Join me and my curiosity and awe of just how mysterious the sky is and understand the details and attention that must be accounted for when flying a plane. But before we get in the cockpit to answer all our unanswered questions, we must assess the weather hazards that may come our way and check off the essential checklist before taking off. I will also provide helpful links for reference when determining the weather and planning before our travels.

Let's fly!
