As noted on the syllabus, and instructions for the first essay, you can rewrite your first essay if you wish. This is optional!

for what to do for this rewrite, and how it will be marked. On those instructions, it says to submit here:

  • Original first essay, with comments on it by your TA

  • Your self-assessment of your first essay

  • The revised version of the essay

  • A paragraph giving a broad explanation of what you have changed in the essay and how this relates to the comments from your TA and your self-assessment.

 

The mark on the first version of the essay counts for 25% of the final mark for the essay, and that on the revised version counts for 75%.

  • If you submit the revised version late, there will be a 5-point-per-day (and 5 points for a full weekend) late penalty off of that, unless you have an excused reason for submitting late.
  • If you do submit late, be sure to fill out and submit a Download late work form.
