Welcome to my ePortfolio page!

Here, you will find information about the relationship between tennis and the weather. Tennis is a sport in which weather is an important consideration and understanding the weather will enable you to perform better and in a safer manner. This could, in turn, be a match winning formula or even a life saver.

I will share my personal experience of playing in different weather conditions, beyond the shores of Singapore and across continents with vast weather differences. From the hot and humid tropical climate of Southeast Asia to the cooler and drier conditions found in North America, you will find that the weather can greatly influence the game condition and affect one’s performance and overall safety. This is especially so for the seasoned and advanced player where their game styles will have to be adapted in accordance to the changes in the weather conditions.

I have chosen tennis as my topic of discussion as I am an avid tennis player, and have had the privilege of playing in different climate and conditions that has had an impact on the safety of the sport and how fun or not so fun the game is. Hopefully in sharing my experiences, novice players will be able to gain great insights into the sport, and expert players who have ignored the significance of weather in their game play can start taking them into consideration.
