It provides hourly, daily, and monthly weather forecasts and wind information so that you can plan ahead for trips and also check for accuracy on the day of your trip. Environment Canada is a forecast site from the government that provides a 7-day weather forecast (precipitation, temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, and visibility). It also provides a quick summary of the previous day's information as well. This site is quite helpful because the forecast is actually also typed out in full sentences, which provides info to those who may be unfamiliar with maps or icons and prefer straightforward explanations of the weather. However, there is also a Jetstream map for those who prefer a visual aid. There is also a air quality Index, similar to AccuWeather, that shows air conditions and whether it is safe to be outside or not. The site also provides averages and extremes in terms of the precipitation and temperature, as well as any important public weather alerts by region.
