1. Weather Network - VancouverLinks to an external site.

The weather report for Vancouver is useful for eager Spikeball players because it provides information about the possibility of rain in the future. Use the probability of precipitation (PoP) to make a decision on whether your Spikeball plans need to be rescheduled or not. It also provides a forecast for the next 7 days which allows you to plan accordingly. Ideally, you are looking for a day that didn't have rainfall the day before because the grass will be wet and unpleasant to play Spikeball in.

2. Wind Speed - VancouverLinks to an external site.

This link provides access to real time wind and gust statistics every hour in Vancouver. It assists in understanding the magnitude of wind speeds at a specific time and helps to decide if the winds are strong enough to start thinking about another activity, possibly indoors. Higher wind speeds also indicates that temperatures will be lower than the recorded temperatures because of the wind chill, so take note of that when you're deciding which jacket to bring.

3. Temperature map- British ColumbiaLinks to an external site.

The Weather Forecast provides plenty of maps of BC that depict different information. One of the maps is a temperature map where the temperature in BC regions are shown. Unusually warm temperatures need to be recognized to avoid dangers like dehydration. However, this map also shows low and high-level pressure centres as an added benefit. As mentioned in the "Weather Hazards" section, high pressure centres are significant to pay attention to because warm and dry conditions form near them and they come with certain hazards like insolation.
