Scream 5 film streaming ita (also informally known as Scream 5) is a 2022 American slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. It is the fifth installment in the Scream film series. Though billed as a relaunch of the film series, the film is a direct sequel to Scream 4 (2011), and the first in the series not to be directed by Wes Craven, who died in 2015 and to whom the film is dedicated. The film stars franchise veterans David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Dylan Minnette, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mikey Madison, and Sonia Ben Ammar, with Marley Shelton, Skeet Ulrich, Heather Matarazzo, and Roger L. Jackson reprising their roles from previous installments. In this film, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town's deadly past.

Although fifth and sixth Scream installments were discussed after the release of Scream 4 in 2011, Craven, writer Kevin Williamson, and executive producer Harvey Weinstein all cast doubts on their likelihood following the less-than-expected box office performance of the fourth film. A Scream television series was then produced, airing on MTV from 2015 to 2016 across two seasons, with a third season airing on VH1 in July 2019. After the 2017 sexual assault allegations against Weinstein and the closure of The Weinstein Company, the rights to the Scream franchise were acquired by Spyglass Media Group in November 2019, who confirmed a new film would be made. The following year, Williamson, who was returning as an executive producer, confirmed the film would not be a reboot, and Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett were hired to direct in March 2020. Campbell and Arquette were confirmed to be returning later that month, with Cox and the new cast members joining throughout the summer. After production was delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, filming took place from September through November 2020 in North Carolina. To avoid story leaks, numerous versions of the screenplay were produced and several additional scenes were filmed.

Scream 5 - Plot

Casey was home alone one night. She was making popcorn and getting ready to watch a horror movie when her home phone rang. Phone is wrong. Surprisingly, the person keeps calling which forces Casey to answer the call. The mysterious voice said that he just wanted to chat, so Casey responded. What Casey doesn't know is that the person on the other end of the phone is a vicious, cold-blooded killer on the loose in a black robe and a white mask with a strange face. The wrong call became the most terrible terror until the end of Casey's life. The blonde bobbed girl was stabbed in the chest, her insides were scattered outward, and her body was hanging from a tree in her front yard.

It was the opening scene of the first film Scream (1996). Casey is played by Drew Barrymore and the voice of the killer alias Ghostface is filled by Roger L. Jackson. In less than 15 minutes, Wes Craven managed to create a fear and terror that still lingers even after 25 years have passed since the film's release. The moment when Casey was stabbed by Ghostface was the first time Scream was introduced to the audience and marked the beginning of one of the most iconic horror franchises. A similar scene comes to life again in the fifth film Scream, which is now in theaters.

Tara (Jenna Ortega) is alone when her home phone rings. While chatting with his best friend, Amber (Mikey Madison), he is forced to talk to a stranger on the other end of the phone. The man forced Tara to do a guessing game about a horror movie. Unfortunately for Tara, the question is about Stab, a slasher film about a masked killer who terrorizes the residents of a small town called Woodsboro. Tara doesn't like horror films like that and prefers to watch horror films with full story and drama. We already know that the conversation will not end well. Just like Casey, Ghostface managed to break into Tara's house (even though the house is equipped with a tight security system that can be controlled via a cellphone application) and the girl is the first victim in the film Scream (2022).

Sam (Melissa Barrera) immediately returns from the run when he hears his sister was stabbed. He invites Richie (Jack Quaid), his girlfriend, and confronts the past which is the only reason for him to run away from Woodsboro. When Sam returns to the small town, Ghostface goes crazy. One by one the victims began to fall and now Sam, Richie, and Tara's friends including Amber, Wes (Dylan Minnette), twins Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown) and Chad (Mason Gooding), and Liv (Sonia Ben Ammar) are in Ghostface's hit list. They are all connected by a common thread from the events of 25 years ago.

A series of murders that occur close together makes Dewey (David Arquette) decide to call Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). They and Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) come together after a long time and this time for something even more brutal: they will kill the culprit.
